Personal Statement

"Art is an expression of my journey towards recognizing wholeness and the interconnectedness of all life. It challenges me to see beyond appearances, to simplify, and to choose what I really want. The qualities of the materials, such as colors, textures, values, and translucency, and a willingness to give up some control and allow the medium to flow and mingle, all evoke the mystical, the paradoxical, the awakening to truths older than time."
